Gene Simmons will play his first live performance after KISS ended at the end of last year.
It looks like it will be a free concert at the opening of the Rock & Brews restaurant at the Ilani dining and entertainment destination in Ridgefield, Washington. Ilani Casino Resort announced the show on their Instagram account, writing:
“The Gene Simmons Band is putting on a free show to kick off opening day at Rock & Brews. Will you be there? Tuesday, April 23, 8:00 pm – Rock & Brews.”
Simmons will perform there on April 23 and take the stage for the first time after KISS finished their farewell show of their End of the Road tour at New York’s Madison Square Garden in December 2023.
What The Show Will Be Like?
The bassist spoke about the upcoming concert in an interview with ABC Audio:
“There are no rules, which is my favorite thing in life. Anything is bound to happen. I may jump off the stage and get into the audience. We may pull some folks out of the audience. You wanna sing ‘I Was Made For Lovin’ You’? Here’s the mic. Good luck.”
Gene also gave some clues about the setlist:
“We get a chance to play songs KISS has never played and some songs have never been recorded. So it’s a very exciting event.”
Simmons and his KISS bandmate Paul Stanley, along with a team including Michael Zislis and Dave Furano, started Rock & Brews near LAX in 2010. They have over 20 locations across several states, and there are more on the way.
After the Ilani show, Gene Simmons Band heads to Brazil for the Summer Breeze Open Air festival on April 26, then starts a European tour in Finland on July 27. The group will visit other countries like Belgium, Germany, Sweden, and the Netherlands, too.
