Zakk Wylde recently announced that they are currently making their twelfth studio album.
Wylde told Chicago’s Rebel Radio 92.5 FM he’s heading straight to his recording studio to work on some new songs as soon as he finishes the interview:
“Actually, when I get done talking to you, I’m going to [my studio] Black Vatican. I’m tracking some more stuff today right now. So during the times I’m home, I’ll be doing some recording and stuff like that for the next album. I’ve gotta pick my spot for when I’m home. Then [I] can do some recording, and then, before you know it, we’re back out on the road again.”
He tries to use his time at home to record new music whenever he can. This makes it easy for him to balances recording sessions with other band activities, including touring.

Jeff Fabb also talked about the new album in a separate interview. He said that they don’t have a specific release date yet, but they expect to launch the album sometime next year. He is also planning to join Zakk at his house soon to finish up a few more songs:
“I don’t know exactly when it’s gonna be released, but I heard some time in the new year. So I would assume that we’re gonna tour it. So we’re working on it right now. Actually. I’m about to go to Zakk’s house in the next few days and finish up a few more songs that he wrote. And then, yeah, that’s pretty much it. We’ve got that show in September and then I would assume that we’re gonna hit the road at some point.”
Jeff hints that the band is likely to go on tour to perform their new songs live after the album comes out.
Black Label Society will be the main act at Zakk’s first music festival called Berzerkus. The festival will take place on September 14, 2024, at Poconos Park in Bushkill, Pennsylvania. Cody Jinks, Clutch, Rival Sons, and Black Stone Cherry will also perform there.
