Ahead of the show’s second episode airing, obtained court documents that allege , Gil Ramirez, has a past of stalking. Per the docs, Gil’s ex-girlfriend filed a temporary restraining order against him in June. An insider from the ABC reality show also revealed that it was granted to her days before production began, citing “harassment — emotional.”
In the request for Gil’s restraining order, his ex claimed, “Despite telling him to not contact me, come to my house — he made repeated unwanted contact with me, family members and friends.” Additionally, she clarified that he had not physically injured her, but that he had made “25 [stalking] attempts daily via phone, texts, video” and “although lives an hour away — showed up at places I frequent to confront me on a daily basis” for two weeks.
Gil received a rose during the season premiere of The Golden Bachelorette and he will appear in upcoming episodes. A source close to the show told People that Gil’s “filing occurred in the brief period between completion of our thorough background investigation and exhaustive vetting process, and the beginning of production.” As for his future on the series, his “already limited screen time” has been edited down and he’s been “minimized…in promotional assets moving forward.”
