Wolf Hoffman is open to reuniting with Udo Dirkschneider And Peter Baltes for Accept’s 50th-anniversary tour.
In a recent conversation with Metal Journal, the guitarist was asked if former two Accept members might join the 50th-anniversary tour as guests at some shows. He replied:
“Yeah, of course, of course. That doesn’t mean they’re gonna [show up]. We have to wait and see. Of course, everybody [is invited]. The door is always open for anybody to join us on this because it’s gonna be a retrospective of all the 50 years of Accept, and whoever wants to participate is more than welcome. Yes, sure.”
When further asked if he would call Udo and Peter himself or wait for them to call him, Hoffman seemed annoyed as he said:
“Can you shut up already? You’re not gonna get me to talk about it. I’m sorry, man. I know it’s a nice try. Everybody wants to know these things.”
Hoffman’s Words On The Anniversary Tour
Last month, Accept confirmed plans for the band’s 50th anniversary. They said they would have a special world tour at the end of 2025 and an anniversary album in early 2026. The tour will feature classic hits, rare songs, and a unique stage show with surprise guests. Wolf commented:
“It’s an incredible honor to be able to look back on five decades of a musical career and share our music with so many people. But nothing lasts forever and who knows how much longer we’ll be touring… This tour will be very special because we think 50 years of Accept is a GREAT reason to celebrate in style!”
The musician also talked about the album, explaining:
“We wanted to create something that captures the essence of Accept while offering something new to our loyal fans. This album is a tribute to our journey and to everyone who has accompanied us along the way.”
Dirkschneider was fired from Accept in 1987 but Hoffman said it was a mutual decision for him to leave the band. In 2018, Baltes also announced he was leaving Accept after 42 years. The band said he needed a change and wished him well. With his departure, Hoffmann is now the only original member still in the band.
