Famously loud actor/comedians Billy Eichner and Will Ferrell joined forces to revive the beloved Billy on the Street for a one-off election special episode of the beloved former TV series. The duo hit the streets of New York City in “Loud Men for Kamala” t-shirts as they screamed questions to unsuspecting bystanders in hopes of getting Kamala Harris elected to president over Donald Trump, as first viewed on Variety.
Former Saturday Night Live funnyman and current Will and Harper subject Ferrell brought textbook irreverence to the clip — made in partnership with the political action committees Vote Save America and Swing Left — as they asked pedestrians questions such as, “would you have sex with a Trump voter” or “what is your favorite Will Ferrell movie?”

The men are frequently met with gleeful screams, all in positive affirmation of their decisions to vote for Vice President Harris… before they promptly run away and move on to other strangers. It’s all in line for Ferrell, who has been fairly outspoken on important issues at the heart of this year’s election cycle.
A Return to Form for Billy on the Street
A popular series that aired from 2011 to 2017 on Fuse and then later TruTV, Billy on the Street gained a cult following thanks to Eichner’s abrasive-yet-comedic, man-on-the-street style. Often with a celebrity in tow, Eichner would run up to and ask unsuspecting passersby increasingly outrageous pop culture questions, with their answers resulting in a cash prize (usually $1). There were often themed obstacle courses and other segments for the celebrity guests to do. Eichner later went on to star in Parks and Recreation and write (and star in) the romantic comedy film Bros.
“Sir, for a dollar, which would you rather see a sequel to: Elf or Trump?” Eichner asks a man in a blue t-shirt, referencing Ferrell’s 2003 Christmas classic. “Elf,” he says, garnering cheers and hugs from Eichner and Ferrell. “That’s too much,” the man replies. To which Eichner says, “No it’s not!”
“For $1, would you have sex with a Trump voter?”
In another moment, Ferrell interrupts a man from Flint, Michigan, loudly shouting his love of local politics and voting for Harris. “Have you ever seen Semi-Pro? It’s one of my movies!” There’s a pause before the man says “yes!” Eichner quickly steers the duo on, screaming, “No one saw Semi-Pro!”
The video is just one way celebrities are using their platforms to urge Americans to vote in what is largely being hailed as “the most important election of our lifetime.” As many polls show a tight race between Trump and Harris, the urgency to convince people to vote is at an all-time high. Recently, Shazam! star Zachary Levi came under fire for supporting Trump.
With the November 5 election a week away, we’re likely to see even more videos from celebrities urging their fans to engage in the civic process that ensures the continuation of democracy in the United States of America.
