Pat Sajak is ending his reign as the host of “Wheel of Fortune” … and he’ll be starting a new chapter of his life with his family cheering him on.
Sajak married his second wife Lesly Brown in 1989. The pair have two children, Maggie and Patrick.
Maggie acts as the “Wheel of Fortune” social correspondent, and on why he decided to end his run.
About leaving the show, Sajak said jokingly, “I’m perfectly happy if it just means that I’ll continue with my crossword puzzles and play with grandchildren. Hint, hint, hint. No pressure.”
“On behalf of our family, on behalf of the fans and the players and the crew and staff and everyone, this show means the world to us,” Maggie said. “It’s been such a gift, and you have made what could’ve just been hangman into a cultural phenomenon. So, thank you for these amazing 40-plus years.”

In September 1990, Sajak and Brown welcomed their first child, Patrick Sajak.
When Patrick graduated from medical school, his dad ” and talked about his son’s accomplishment.
“Do you mind if I do a little parental bragging here?” he said to his co-host Vanna White. “So you know my son, Patrick, you’ve known him all his life. Well, he’s made it through medical school, and he is now officially Dr. Sajak, and we’re all thrilled about that.”
“The only troubling part is he insists that I call him Dr. Sajak,” he joked, before getting serious again.
“Lesly and I couldn’t be prouder, and I tried to get him into geriatrics, but he refused, but that’s a personal thing,” he said with a laugh. “Anyway, congratulations, son.”
Patrick Sajak’s little sister, Maggie Sajak, also congratulated him on Instagram.
“My big brother officially became a doctor today, and I am the MOST proud,” she of them together.

Sajak and Brown welcomed their daughter on Jan. 5, 1995.
When she was , she stole fans’ hearts when she made her debut on “Wheel of Fortune.”
More than two decades later, Maggie assumed Vanna White’s duties for a week of shows while White hosted in place of her father, who was recovering from surgery. She became the series’ social correspondent in 2021.
When not in front of the camera, Maggie has kept herself busy. She graduated from Princeton University, completed a post-grad program at Columbia University and earned a law degree from Georgetown in 2023.

“The ‘Wheel of Fortune’ staff and crew have always been like an extended family,” Maggie. “And I’m thrilled to be working with them. It’s a real privilege to be able to treat the show’s longtime viewers to a look at what goes on when the cameras aren’t rolling.”
