The Democratic Party has officially moved on from Michelle Obama’s classic “when they go low, we go high” motto. In recent weeks, Kamala Harris ‘ 2024 Presidential campaign has adopted a refreshingly blunt tactic: calling out Republican politicians for being weird “creeps” who are obsessed with controlling women’s bodies. The trend continued earlier this week when Nick Offerman appeared at a fundraiser for the Harris campaign, where he performed a song brutally dragging former President Donald Trump and his 2024 running mate, JD Vance.
The Parks & Recreation star was one of many celebrity guests on deck earlier this week for the Comics for Kamala livestream fundraiser. “I would never have thought it would be necessary to say, but I’m powerfully grateful to vote for a presidential candidate in Kamala Harris who didn’t just prosecute rapists but also is not one herself, so please count me in on that team,” Offerman said before launching into a spoof of “God Bless the USA,” Lee Greenwood’s classic patriotic anthem. Written from the point of view of a Republican who’s grown weary of Donald Trump and become “Kamala-curious,” the lyrics take aim at the former president and his 2024 running mate, Hillbilly Elegy author JD Vance .

Maya Rudolph Plots SNL Return Following Kamala Harris VP Pick
Former Saturday Night Live cast member Maya Rudolph played Kamala Harris on the sketch show and seems willing to return.
“When he mocked the disabled and war heroes, I looked the other way. He said to march on the Capitol, well if the president says it’s okay!” sang Offerman before targeting Trump’s criminal history and allegations of sexual assault and misconduct. The lyrics also touched on the conservative party’s racist tendencies as well as the recent meme about Vance’s dalliance with a couch:
“I don’t mind sex with porn stars, I’d do it too if I had the guts. But, when it comes to f—ing the furniture, that’s just f—ing nuts.So I’m proud to be a Kamala man who has quit the GOP ’cause I just can’t abide a man who’s tried for 34 felonies. And it’s time to stand up and face the fact that the men that I once cheered are a bunch of wingnut white nationalists. Well, those guys are f—ing weird.”
Offerman’s performance starts around the 25-minute mark:
The event, which also featured appearances from Ben Stiller, D.L. Hughley, Jon Hamm, Kathryn Hahn, Ed Helms, John Stamos, Rosie O’Donnell, Kathy Griffin, and Margaret Cho, raised over $530,000 for the Harris campaign.
Hollywood Loves Kamala Harris – and Tim Walz
Vice President Harris had already attracted significant support for her 2024 campaign among celebrities including Jeff Bridges and Mark Hamill, who recently participated in the (perhaps oddly named) “White Dudes for Harris” fundraising event. After announcing Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate, even more celebs have been chiming in. (It was Walz who initially called Trump and Vance out for being “weird,” by the way.)
Jamie Lee Curtis posted a photo of Harris and Walz to her Instagram with the caption, “LET’S GO AMERICA!”
“This is such exciting news!” wrote Julianne Moore. “I cannot wait to vote for this ticket @kamalaharris @timwalz.”
Other celebrities voicing their support for the Harris/Walz ticket include former Wonder Woman Lynda Carter, directors Paul Feig and Rob Reiner, and Community‘s Yvette Nicole Brown.
