You won’t need to say “alohomora” to unlock yourself into the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Instead, you can get tickets when a behind-the-scenes exhibition comes to Boston for the first time this fall.
“Harry Potter: The Exhibition,” which has already mesmerized over 2 million fans worldwide, will make its Boston debut at CambridgeSide on Sept. 13 as part of it’s upcoming tour around the United States.
Eager wizards and witches looking to get their “portkey” can join the waitlist for early access to tickets, which formally go on sale Thursday, May 16.
Those who join the waitlist will have access to a presale starting Tuesday, May 14. Those who buy tickets within that timeframe will get a commemorative “Harry Potter: The Exhibition” tote bag.
The exhibition will let fans become fully enveloped with the iconic moments, characters, settings and beasts from the “Harry Potter” and “Fantastic Beasts” films.
Guests will have access to a boatload of spellbinding experiences like learning their Hogwarts House by taking a photo with the iconic Sorting Hat, having a lecture in a Hogwarts classrooms or uncovering iconic creatures on Hagrid’s Hut through The Forbidden Forest.
Stepping outside of the movie series, people can also see original costumes, props and imagery from the Tony Award-winning Broadway production “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.”
The exhibition will also come with a retail shop selling exclusive merchandise including apparel, jewelry, and edible treats like Chocolate Frogs and bottled Butterbeer.
“Harry Potter: The Exhibition” has opened in several cities around the world following the world premiere in Philadelphia in February 2022. The exhibition is currently showing in New York City and Macao, China. It opens in May in Munich, Germany and in August in São Paulo, Brazil.
