is ready to add another role to his already impressive resume.
The NFL star, 34, told in a new interview published on Thursday, April 25, that he continues to be “comfortable” with the spotlight on him amid his relationship with music superstar and .
“I think it was all the home videos my mom used to have with the old camcorder, the handheld joint, at the house,” Kelce said. “I just always felt comfortable with the camera on me and the lights on me. Sure enough, I love a good challenge. I get excited for a challenge.”
When his role on the Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? spinoff was confirmed earlier this month, he shared in a statement that he “grew up loving game shows” and is “excited to be following in the footsteps of so many TV icons.”

While the Kansas City Chiefs tight end previously stepped in front of the camera to star in , and hosted in 2023, he said his new television role is “something that I haven’t done before.”
“There’s something about that that I got a love for,” he told Extra.
The athlete, however, does have some prior hosting experience thanks to his , which he co-hosts with his brother .

“It’s just been so, really, all throughout my life. It started as a young kid and really understanding the value of family and what it can do for you, and it injected confidence and excitement in my life and I’ve been so fortunate,” he said. “I’ve been able to just follow his footsteps through life into the football world. And then, who knows what happens after that?”
While a release date for Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity? has not been announced yet, the new game show host assured his fans that his heart remains on the football field.

“I’m every bit as motivated to get back and win another Super Bowl,” he told Extra. “That’ll always be my number one job until I retire.”
