In a recent series of tweets, Tracii Guns told Skid Row to ask Sebastian Bach to be their new singer.
The rocker commented on Blabbermouth’s tweet where Skid Row’s Rob Hammersmith said they are looking for a new vocalist, writing:
“There’s this guy I know. I think his name is Sebastian Bach.”
When a user said no one could tolerate being around Bach, Guns replied:
“I think most personal relationships go through it. It’s the money business and doesn’t have to be the friends business.”
When another person noted that Bach is so annoying and obnoxious that no one wants to be around him, Tracii responded again:
“That’s rock n roll. Sebastian is bigger than life and that’s why they were enormous.”
What Do Skid Row Members Think About Their Search For A New Singer?
After Erik Grönwall left Skid Row due to his health problems, they performed shows with Lzzy Hale as the guest vocalist. Still, they haven’t announced anyone yet as their permanent singer. Rob Hammersmith recently spoke with Cover Band Confidential and discussed the band’s plans for a new singer:
“[We have] no confirmed shows on the books as of this conversation. We are speaking with a few people that might potentially be able to do the special-guest slots, exactly what Lzzy had gone out and done with us. We’re hoping that that can come to fruition before the end of this year. And in the meantime, we are looking for a permanent person, a permanent singer. So at this point, I don’t have any concrete announcements that I can make. But yeah, that’s the plan at this point.”
At a convention in Indianapolis this month, Skid Row’s Rachel Bolan also revealed that the band is taking their time to choose a new singer:
“We’re always writing, throwing ideas at each other. Right now we’re in the middle of looking for a singer. I hear all you guys rolling your eyes already. Our [last] singer, Erik [Grönwall], left to prioritize his health, [which was] understandable. So right now we’re just taking our time, because we have time. And we’ve got a couple guys on the radar that we’re gonna audition. And there’s also a couple of our friends that wanna do what Lzzy Hale did and sit in [on lead vocals] for a few shows. And that’s fun too. That was so much fun doing those [four] shows [with Lzzy in late May and early June].”
Although reuniting with Sebastian isn’t in the cards for Skid Row right now, the singer keeps sending messages to the group. He recently shared a ‘Jeopardy!’ question on Instagram that named him as the band’s frontman, even though he hasn’t been with the band since 1996. Fans noticed that other Skid Row vocalists were ignored.
