Tracii Guns recently got into an argument with a music fan after he called Guns N’ Roses a ‘wannabe Poison.’
It started when the user got into a fight about Phish and tried to slam Guns for not knowing the band. He wrote:
“At least I’ve heard of Phish. It appears you played in a wannabe Poison band? Yeah, that genre aged well. See you at the rib cook-off…”
The music fan then argued with other users. Another user said of his earlier comment:
“Imagine telling the guy who was literally the ‘Guns’ in ‘Guns ‘n’ Roses’ that he played in a ‘wannabe Poison band.’”
The fan responded:
“First of all, Guns N Roses ultimately sucks. Product of a moment and the music has aged terribly. Secondly, Axl booted him and so he started LA Guns. He did jack for GNR beyond the name. Lastly, deal with it.”
In response, Tracii Guns wrote:
“I quit GnR.”
Guns added in another post:
“Guns N’ Roses ultimately sucks. Tim, 100,000,000 rock fans would like a word with you.
Tracii Guns ‘Created Guns N’ Roses’
A similar conversation between a fan and the rocker happened last year too.
The argument began when Brazilian model Ana Braga expressed frustration over users making money from the platform by posting misleading comments. When a user confronted her about also profiting from the platform and questioned her verification status, Guns jumped in to explain that people had been stealing the model’s identity, and that’s why she needed to be verified.
The argument heated up when the user called the rocker a ‘poser’ and told him to ‘do something about it or shut the f*ck up.’ Guns responded:
“I did. I created Guns N’ Roses and LA Guns.”
As other users started supporting Guns, the original user tried to insult him by calling him a ‘washed-up junkie’ and shared part of Guns’ Wikipedia page. Guns quickly defended himself:
“Calling someone a junkie who has never been a junkie is defamation.”
