Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee sat down with Theo Von for a new interview. The drummer recalled hanging out with Marilyn Manson and shared his thoughts about him. After his abuse allegations in recent years, the drummer made a risky comment about Manson:
“He is a f*cking great guy.”
“Yeah dude, he is a tweaker,” Lee said of Manson’s sense of humor.
Lee also recalled the time they got drunk together: “We drank a f*cking sh*tload of this absinthe in Europe, his thing was absinthe. I’d seen this sh*t called ‘Green Fairy’ or whatever, it’s green. I started hallucinating on the sh*t. If you drink enough of it you start to slightly hallucinate and it was purple colored.”
Manson’s comeback to music follows a rough time with abuse allegations and lawsuits. It all started in February 2021 when his former fiancée, Evan Rachel Wood, accused him of abuse. Other women came forward with similar claims, which caused Manson to be dropped by his record label, agent, and manager.
After the allegations, Manson kept a low profile. But earlier this year, he announced he would be performing again. In addition to a tour, the rocker recently released a new single called ‘As Sick As The Secrets Within,’ possibly in response to the allegations.
