Tom Holland calls Zendaya “my birthday lady” in candy photograph

Spider-Man star Tom Holland has posted a sweet tribute to his girlfriend Zendaya on her birthday.

In honour of the Euphoria star’s 27th birthday today (September 1), the actor shared a photo of her kitted out in snorkelling gear on his Instagram story alongside the caption: “My birthday girl.”

He also shared a second image of the actress walking ahead of him with two dogs alongside three heart emojis.

The pair confirmed their relationship in November 2021, after being spotted kissing in a car by paparazzi earlier in the year.

Zendaya recently opened up on their relationship, revealing how she navigates being in a relationship while in the public eye.

“Parts of my life, I accept, are going to be public,” she told Elle of the relationship. “I can’t not be a person and live my life and love the person I love. But also, I do have control over what I choose to share.

“It’s about protecting the peace and letting things be your own but also not being afraid to exist. You can’t hide. That’s not fun, either. I am navigating it more than ever now.”

While the pair are both keen to keep their relationship private, Holland recently revealed he’d felt “lucky” to be working in the same industry and sharing similar experiences with his partner.

“I’m lucky that I have someone like Zendaya in my life,” he told Smartless podcast hosts Jason Bateman, Will Arnett and Sean Hayes.

“It’s interesting being in a romantic relationship with someone that is in the same boat as you. You can share your experiences and all that sort of stuff – and that’s worth its weight in gold.”
