, who issued a series of blatant political messages leading up to the 2024 election, has broken his silence following the projected results for the next president of the United States.
The “Live Like You Were Dying” singer on the evening of Friday, Nov. 8, with a picture of a vibrant sunset seemingly taken from the view beyond his backyard, simply captioning the snap, “Hoping everyone has a great weekend.”
While there weren’t any direct political undertones to the post, some fans viewed it as a thinly-veiled message following the election, as the singer chose his song, “Humble and Kind” to play in the background of the photo, including lyrics like, “Hold the door, say please, say thank you / Don’t steal, don’t cheat, and don’t lie / I know you got mountains to climb but always stay humble and kind.”
Followers thought the track was “perfect for our times,” with one adding, “Thank you for the reminder ❤️,” and another writing, “what a motto! I’ve followed it since 1992, when I met you!”
“My family theme song for years for my 3 teenage boys!” someone else shared, while a second agreed that they “tell [their] kids this all the time.”
“I wish the president elect would live by these lyrics,” another mourned.
Many also thanked him for over the last several weeks.
One comment read, “Thank you Tim for being on the side of your daughter’s, wife and women,” and another emphasized, “💙thank YOU for setting the example of what men are supposed to do to love and protect not only their daughters but the females around the US! You rock! 💙.”
