There are many things guaranteed in life, and The Boys not missing the chance to ridicule Donald Trump’s McDonald’s PR stunt is as certain as it gets. Naturally, the Erik Kripke-created Prime Video series did not disappoint in taking apart the staged event in the best way it could – with a completely ironic fake fast food visit from Antony Starr’s Homelander.
The post was shared on the Vought International X/Twitter page, and took a huge dig at Trump’s implausible appearance behind a McDonald’s counter in Pennsylvania, where he served up fries to drive-thru customers, and donned an apron just like any other worker. Well, the branch in question was closed for the occasion. And the people being “served” were not just random passing strangers. But other than that, the apron was real. What was also real, was the sarcasm dripping from the post shared by The Boys in response. It read:
“Growing up, Homelander dreamed of working at his local Vought A Burger. Recently, his wish came true, as Vought shut down a restaurant and staged pre-selected customers, so Homelander could ‘serve’ ‘people’ ‘food’. Thanks, Homelander, for showing everyone how you’re a true man of the people!”
As the 2024 election battle between Trump and Kamala Harris fast approaches, this is probably not the last time we will see The Boys jumping on the bandwagon to point out just how bizarre this vote for America’s future has become.
The Boys is Ending with Season 5
Of course, the election will be all over and done by the time we next see Homelander and the other Supes return to Prime Video in the fifth and final outing of The Boys. That doesn’t mean that the powerplays and politics that have been a constant vein running through the franchise won’t continue right to the end though.
Although there are some people who did not seem to realize how much politics played a role in The Boys until Season 4 – what had you been watching? – the last season certainly didn’t shy away from its real-world political parodying as Homelander’s quest for power stepped up a gear, with some deadly and devastating consequences for several long-standing characters.

While The Boys will end its run with Season 5, the world of Supes is far from done. While fans await these new installments of the super-violent franchise arriving, you can always keep a watch over The Boys and Vought’s social media accounts, where they will probably be utilizing the election to entertain at least one half of the country.
