AC/DC’s first tour since 2016 kicked off in Germany on May 17. The band previously announced The Pretty Reckless as the opening act for their new shows.
Taylor Momsen commented on the first night of the ‘Power Up’ tour in an Instagram post:
“Night one with AC/DC… Exhausted, jet lagged, but so excited I can’t sleep… So tired, but in a good way, thank you Germany and Veltins Arena for a great tour kickoff.”
Two Shows Across Continents In A Week
The Pretty Reckless went back on the road with a show at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. They opened for The Rolling Stones at the May 11 performance.
An Instagram post from Momsen before the Hackney Diamonds North American tour date read:
“One week, two continents, two legendary bands… The Rolling Stones and AC/DC in the same week. It’s gonna be one hell of a ride, come join us!”
The Pretty Reckless As The Opening Act Throughout European Tour
Momsen’s group will keep touring with AC/DC across Europe until a Dublin, Ireland, show on August 17.
The ‘Back In Black’ band is promoting 2020’s ‘Power Up’ album right now. The record was completed in 2019 but needed to be delayed due to COVID-19.
