Apparently, Taylor Momsen’s on-stage gratitude to AC/DC for having her band as an opening act wasn’t enough — so she got them a special gift.
The Pretty Reckless singer took to X to share her gratitude to the band and the gift she got for them. The gift was a life-sized cake of Angus Young’s famous Gibson SG guitar. The singer shared a few pictures with the caption:
“When AC/DC you grace their stage every night for a whole summer how do you thank them? A life sized, made to spec, cake of Angus’s famous SG! Plus some special gifts for Brian to go along. I can’t express our appreciation for the experience they’ve given us, they ARE rock and roll, if you haven’t seen it, figure out a way, AC/DC is a true force of nature. Thank you Angus, Brian, Stevie, Matt and Chris, we’re having the best times of our lives with you! See you Saturday in Germany!”
Momsen Received A Gift From AC/DC Crew
The gift-giving ritual seems to be mutual. Momsen shared a video on Instagram of the gift she received four days after her bat-bite incident.
At a show where The Pretty Reckless opened for AC/DC, a bat landed on Momsen’s leg and stayed until the end. As a result, AC/DC’s camera crew gifted Momsen a bat-shaped rubber bath duck.
The Pretty Reckless Is The First Band To Open For AC/DC In Years
AC/DC’s last tour took place in 2015 and 2016. Since then, this year’s tour has been their first.
The band shared on their social media accounts:
“The Pretty Reckless will be supporting AC/DC on their European tour.”
The ‘Power Up’ European tour is AC/DC’s first with their new touring lineup. The band now includes singer Brian Johnson, guitarists Angus and Stevie Young, drummer Matt Laug, and their latest addition, bassist Chris Chaney.
