If you’ve ever wondered what happens between takes on Stranger Things, one cast member is ready to share what it’s like working with fan favorite David Harbour, who plays beleaguered Chief Hopper in the hit sci-fi show. Rob Morgan‘s character, Officer Powell, became the new police chief when Hopper disappeared — he was later found in a Russian gulag in Season 4. Morgan took time while promoting his pivotal role in Peacock’s new horror thriller Teacup to share his experience working with Harbour.
“David Harbour is very grounded, very cool. He’s the kind of cat that’ll be reading a book in between the takes, you know. You’re like, ‘
Damn, that’s so intelligent
.’ He looks so cool over there reading that book in between takes, even though he’s got like a five-page scene that we’re doing, he still has the wherewithal to read some book. I was always impressed with David about that. He’s a very, very smart guy.”

No other bookworms have been reported on the set as yet. Meanwhile, fans are feverishly awaiting the fifth and final season of Stranger Things to drop on Netflix, which doesn’t drop until sometime in 2025. The final season has already been teased as being much different from Season 4. Think: longer episodic story arcs that have more room to breathe. Who Does Rob Morgan Play in Teacup?
As everybody awaits the next and final round of Stranger Things, we can catch Rob Morgan in Peacock’s highly anticipated new horror thriller, Teacup, inspired by Robert McCammon’s bestseller, Stinger. The series offers similar chills as Stranger Things. Morgan plays the ominous McNab, a character who typically wears a gas mask. The story chronicles a group of people in rural Georgia who are forced to unite to fend off a mysterious threat.
Of his eerie character, McNab, Morgan said: “The mystery of the mask just heightened what I could bring to the screen and added that mystery so that when you do see me, I’m even that much more acceptable and cooler.” Expect plenty of plot twists throughout the eight-episode run from showrunner Ian McCulloch (Yellowstone, Chicago Fire) and executive producer James Wan (The Conjuring universe, Insidious).
The cast is headlined by Yvonne Strahovski (The Handmaid’s Tale), and stars Scott Speedman (Grey’s Anatomy), Caleb Dolden (Follow Me), Chaske Spencer (The English), Boris McGiver (Servant), Emilie Bierre (A Colony), and Luciano Leroux (Yellowjackets). Teacup streams on Peacock October 10 with two new episodes dropping weekly through Halloween. Watch it through the link below:
