Snapchat has introduced a new augmented reality (AR) try-on experience in collaboration with Cartier to celebrate the 100th anniversary of The Trinity Collection. The Cartier Trinity Ring Lens allows users to explore the collection, virtually try on the Classic Trinity Ring, and make purchases directly through the app.
The AR technology features ring try-on capabilities enhanced by Ray Tracing and Hand Tracking, providing a precise and realistic experience. The ring follows the movement of the hand, and Cartier’s Classic Trinity Ring shines realistically.
Developed exclusively with Cartier, the technology focuses on the quality and accuracy of the ring’s fit and placement on the finger. It utilises machine learning to predict the 3D hand surface, enabling a realistic representation of how the ring looks on an individual’s hand.
To access the Cartier Trinity Ring Lens, users can scan the Snapcode provided or visit Cartier’s profile on Snapchat. The lens is available globally on both iOS and Android platforms.
