Shemane Nugent recently shared an update on Ted Nugent’s retirement status.
She shared some photos and videos from the rocker’s show in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, writing in the caption:
“My other life as a rock ‘n’ roll wife! Had an amazing time with family and friends at Ted’s concert last night in PA. Officially, he’s retired from touring, but he’ll keep the music alive with charity events and special gigs. So grateful for all the unforgettable moments and the amazing people we’ve met all these years.”
Shemane went on to thank everyone who helped Ted’s musical journey:
“Shoutout to Jason, Johnny, Frank, tour manager Brent for always keeping things running smoothly, & our son Rocco for stepping into to manage family, friends, meet and greets, and after show meals! And a big welcome to our new friend Stephen Baldwin—what a blast! From the hardworking crew to the passionate, patriotic fans, keep rockin’ & fighting! I am blown away by how incredible you all are! Thanks for being a part of the Nuge Tribe!”
Ted’s Earlier Statements On Retirement
In April, Nugent announced new shows despite his previous retirement plans. After his farewell tour, Nugent performed surprise ‘SpeakEazy’ shows, with the first one on May 4, 2024. He continues to play music and jam with his band in Texas, but he won’t go on a full tour.
Later, during a live stream on Facebook, the singer confirmed again that he wasn’t planning to retire. He stated:
“‘Well, I heard you’re retired.’ Did you hear that? I don’t know where I heard that because I never said that. In fact, when people asked me if I was going to retire, I said no as a negative. Nein. Nein yet. I said, ‘No, I’m not retiring, I’m just going to do scattered gigs.’ I don’t want to spend the night in the hotel because Coco and Sadie would cry when I’m gone.”
So, Nugent won’t stop performing. He also has a scheduled show on September 13 at Ocean City Bike Fest in Ocean City, Maryland.
