“It Ends With Us” is just getting started.
In the first photos from the set of the upcoming movie adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel, Blake Lively – who plays florist Lily Bloom — can be seen rocking her character’s fiery red hair.
The “Gossip Girl” star, who’s long been famous for her blond waves, transformed in other ways for the role, giving fans a glimpse at one of Lily’s quirky costumes in the snaps.
But social media users weren’t feeling Lively’s look, which included a pink Carhartt T-shirt knotted over a brown halter dress and teamed with loafers, patterned socks and a logo-covered Valentino tote.
“Does the plot of this book hinge on the female lead looking like sh—t because making blake lively look this bad is kind of a herculean feat,” one person joked on Twitter.
“She look like one of them art teachers that won’t let you near her coffee cup,” another responded.
“The it ends with us wardrobe team needs to be fired IMMEDIATELY,” a third demanded.
The “Age of Adaline” actress appeared to be filming a scene with co-star Justin Baldoni, who plays Lily’s love interest, Ryle Kincaid, and is also directing the flick.
Blake’s actress half-sister, Robyn Lively, was also spotted on set, although it’s unclear if she’s also appearing in the movie or was simply visiting.
In January, the mom of four teased her role by debuting darker hair on Instagram, even setting the selfie to the Smashing Pumpkins’ “Lily (My One and Only).”
At the time, fans were upset that a natural redhead wasn’t picked to play Lily Bloom.

“Y’all should’ve casted a legit ginger,” one person tweeted, as another wrote, “I hope at least she dyes her hair.”
“It Ends With Us” will also star Brandon Sklenar as Atlas Corrigan, Lily’s childhood friend and former flame; Jenny Slate plays Allysa Kincaid, Lily’s best friend and Ryle’s sister.
