Sebastian Bach went on X to share his concerns about the upcoming presidential election in the U.S. He warned that democracy could be at risk if Donald Trump were to win against Joe Biden in a tweet celebrating Independence Day:
“Happy Independence Day to the Greatest Democracy the World Has Ever Known! At least for a couple more weeks, anyway.”
The singer added the hashtag ‘DemocracyIsOnTheBallot’ at the end of the post. When a user asked him to ‘define democracy,’ he continued:
“Citizens of a country voting for their President without the loser committing insurrection, killing police officers because they lost.”
Accusations Against Donald Trump
Bach pointed to claims accusing Donald Trump of being anti-law enforcement by allegedly supporting and praising rioters involved in the January 6, 2021 Capitol attack.
These issues were brought to light at a Biden campaign press conference earlier this year by a former U.S. Capitol Police sergeant and a current D.C. police officer. They both reportedly suffered injuries during the Capitol breach caused by Trump supporters.
Sebastian Bach Is Anti-Trump
Sebastian Bach made his anti-Trump stance clear after the 2016 election against Hillary Clinton. He wrote on X at the time:
“I would do a better job [as president]. After all, my reality TV shows were better than [Trump’s] reality TV shows, so that makes me automatically more qualified.”
The singer criticized the former president and his followers again during the 2020 election period by referring to their anti-vaxx statements:
“If you support Donald Trump, you stand against rock ‘n’ roll and every musician in America who has been put out of work because a reality television show host doesn’t believe in science.”
The ex-Skid Row vocalist also thanked Biden ‘for giving us back rock ‘n’ roll’ after he won against Trump.
