Sebastian Bach has a solution for his possible comeback to Skid Row.
During a recent chat with Classic Rock, the singer was asked what prevented the band from reuniting with the original lineup. Bach named some examples and explained:
“You’ve seen the Metallica movie ‘Some Kind Of Monster’? You’ve read the official Aerosmith biography, or Mötley Crüe’s ‘The Dirt’? All of them are about the band working with a therapist to keep the band going. Every one of them. That never happened with Skid Row. Never. It was never even discussed.”
He added:
“Every time I read one of those books, I feel like f*cking throwing it against the wall, because it’s chapter after chapter about the band members not being able to see eye to eye, and hiring this dude for fifty grand a month to talk it out. Nobody ever did that for Skid Row. I guess twenty million records wasn’t enough to even try. It seems to me it should happen.”
The singer also revealed his thoughts about whether a reunion would happen:
“There’s no reason why not. So why not?”
Bach Reunited With A Former Member
Sebastian Bach has reunited with one of his Skid Row bandmates for his album’s first single, ‘What Do I Got To Lose?’ In fact, the rocker is even considering to perform shows with him.
In an earlier interview with 95.5 KLOS, the former Skid Row frontman was asked about doing a tour after the release of his new single. He answered for both bands, saying he wasn’t in touch with his former bandmates.
He also revealed that one of his former bandmates played in his music video and that they even talked about possibly getting together:
“Rob Affuso, the drummer of Skid Row, he’s on my video, he’s the drummer so we’re talking about maybe getting together, me and him, in my band. We have a full South American tour booked with Mr. Big.”
Lzzy Hale Is Done Touring With Skid Row
Around ten days ago, Hale revealed on Instagram now that their tour was done, she had other things to do. That meant she was not joining the band. At the end of a thank you note she shared, Hale wrote:
“And even though this particular time in my life prevents me from committing to a permanent role in Skid Row…I am sending in my official request to the universe that we will be able to join forces again down the road.”
So who knows? We might hear from Bach or the rest of the members about the reunion soon.
