Sebastian Bach is once again hoping for a Skid Row reunion.
Recently, the rocker took to Instagram to compare his possible reunion with Skid Row to Oasis’ recent reunion. He posted a picture of Liam and Noel Gallagher with the caption “The reunion we got…” The same picture also had a photo of the former Skid Row members with the caption “The reunion we wanted.”
What’s surprising is, that Bach shared it as a collaborative post with the former Skid Row drummer Rob Affuso.
Though it’s now clear he won’t be reuniting with the band, as some of his former bandmates said earlier, Bach has some more career plans.
“I really enjoyed it. It’s an hour-long show, and there’s a lot of dialogue,” the rocker said of his acting career. “And the director would always say, ‘Okay. Do it one time as fast as you can.’ So I’d be like an auctioneer [speaking really fast]. And then one time my agent calls, he goes, ‘Sebastian, the show ‘Law & Order’ wants you to be a DJ, like a drug dealer or something. I go, ‘Law & Order.’ That’s my dad’s favorite show. And so I went to audition for ‘Law & Order’ and I did my lines as fast as I could because [of my ‘Gilmore Girls’ experience]. And the guy goes, ‘Dude, slow down.’ I go, ‘Oh, Jeez. Well, I’m on the show the ‘Gilmore Girls.’”
“So I love the ‘Gilmore Girls’. And now it’s on Netflix, and I’m on the new one on Netflix, ‘A Year In The Life’. And my next TV appearance, I’m gonna be on a show on Food Network called the ‘Worst Cooks In America,’” he added.
Even though Bach still sees himself as the face of the band, Skid Row isn’t planning to reunite with their former singer. At a Q&A session at the Days Of The Dead convention, bassist Rachel Bolan mentioned that the band is working on new music and looking for a new singer. He made it clear that Sebastian Bach isn’t being considered.
“We’re always writing, throwing ideas at each other. Right now we’re in the middle of looking for a singer,” he explained. “I hear all you guys rolling your eyes already. Our [last] singer, Erik [Grönwall], left to prioritize his health, [which was] understandable.”
Bolan added: “So right now we’re just taking our time, because we have time. And we’ve got a couple guys on the radar that we’re gonna audition. And there’s also a couple of our friends that wanna do what Lzzy Hale did and sit in [on lead vocals] for a few shows. And that’s fun too. That was so much fun doing those [four] shows [with Lzzy in late May and early June].”
Dave Sabo also previously mentioned that they are not looking to reunite with Bach. He knows fans might want it, but he is content with how things are going right now.
