In a new chat with Ultimate Classic Rock, Sebastian Bach fired back at Ted Nugent.
“I just have a problem when I hear people say, ‘I don’t want musicians to say what they believe in. Just shut up and sing.’ Well, I’ve got two words for you: Black Sabbath,” the singer said. “When I listen to a song like ‘War Pigs,’ I couldn’t think of a more political lyric of any music there is in life than that f*cking song.”
He continued, “‘Generals gathered in their masses / Just like witches at black masses.’ I mean, to me, that’s saying, ‘F*ck these a**holes!’ I feel that at times like these, there’s too much at stake to be silent.”
“To be silent is to be complicit. For every f*cking Ted Nugent out there, there is a Sebastian Bach, and I’m fine with that,” Bach defied Nugent. “I’m good with that. You go say what you want to say, and I’m gonna say what I want to say.”
The feud between Bach and Nugent started during their time on the reality show ‘Supergroup.’ Nugent criticized Bach for his alcohol addiction, even after Bach claimed he had quit drinking. Nugent continued to call Bach weak, saying his drinking ruined his life and career. In response, Bach accused Nugent of being racist.
The feud escalated when Bach criticized Nugent for avoiding military service. Their disagreement has continued for years without resolution. “I have a soulful relationship with soulful people and I would ask Dee Snider why he would presume and falsely accuse. Again, I love the guy, but if I had a problem with you, you know who I’d call? I’d call you,” Nugent addressed his feud with Bach in 2022.
The musician added, “I’m just going my mouth off. If I had a problem with- what’s the guy- incredible vocalist, he was with me in the Damnocracy, Canadian guy, long blonde hair… I can’t think of the name of the band, but he was in the Damnocracy… Sebastian Bach!”
“Sebastian Bach has just constantly made nasty comments about me, and if I thought something nasty about Sebastian Bach, I wouldn’t say anything until I called him and asked him if these allegations were true,” Nugent also noted. “Again, I’m going to repeat what I said earlier: ‘The worst thing you can do as a human being is to falsely accuse.’”
On the show ‘Supergroup,’ Bach, Nugent, Scott Ian, Jason Bonham, and Evan Seinfeld tried to create a heavy metal supergroup. “Ha! I don’t think me and Ted [Nugent] could be in a band anymore… and I think that’s an understatement right there!” Bach previously said about a reunion with Nugent.
They spent 12 days in Las Vegas filming the seven episodes. Bach came up with the names ‘Fist’ and ‘Damnocracy,’ but the band never released any music.
