In a new chat with Metal Hammer, Sebastian Bach said he is open to the idea of a reunion with Skid Row.
Bach got kicked out of Skid Row almost 30 years ago. He’s always said he wants back in, even though his old bandmates weren’t as excited about it. Now Skid Row needs a new singer after Erik Grönwall left and Lzzy Hale temporarily joined for the following shows.
Bach Speaks About A Skid Row Reunion
Bach explained if he thinks Skid Row members will ever agree to get back together:
“I can definitely see that happening, considering they play the same songs I play. When I get a substantial royalty check for an album I did with musicians that I haven’t been in the same room with since 1996, I feel like a piece of sh*t. Because we should be giving something back to the fans that have made this great life possible.”
Why Didn’t Skid Row Reunite With Bach?
Since Sebastian left the band in 1996, the original Skid Row band hasn’t played together. They’ve tried several times to mend things, but it didn’t work. In an earlier interview with David Yontef of the Behind The Velvet Rope podcast, the rocker talked about what prevented a reunion:
“Well, I do think so because I really think that the main reason that that hasn’t happened is because of business. We haven’t been in the same room since 1996. That’s a fact. So I don’t have anything against anybody from 1996. I don’t even barely remember 1996 [Laughs]. So, I mean, the fact that we’re all still alive, I would say, yes, I think if we can figure out the business side of it, then there’s no reason why not to.”
Rachel Bolan’s Thoughts On Getting Back Together With Bach
Speaking to the Rock Experience with Mike Brunn in December 2022, Skid Row’s bassist Rachel Bolan also addressed the speculation about a potential reunion with Bach. Bolan revealed that the band moved on from the idea, stating:
“You know, we moved on so long ago. Now it’s just like, I really think that our fans that wanted to move with us have moved with us, especially now. So there’s plenty of rock and roll to go around for everyone. If they don’t want to come to our show, then they don’t have to come to our show.”
When Skid Row recently announced that Lzzy Hale was their new lead singer for the next four shows, Bach showed he wasn’t happy by unfollowing Hale. Lzzy still follows Sebastian on Instagram.
