What Did Hagar Say About Induction?
In the rest of the post, they talked about Hagar’s long career as a musician and also included a message from the singer:
“It’s where all my drive comes from. I was willing to work hard to ensure I was never poor again. Even now, I can still go to that place and remember that feeling, but now it drives me to want to give back and to show kids that if you work hard, there’s going to be an open door out.”
Sammy Got His Induction In The Hall Of Fame
John Mayer and Hagar’s longtime manager Tom Consolo will be there with the host, Guy Fieri. Previously, the Red Rocker was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with Van Halen in 2007. In a 2018 chat with WKYC, he spoke about the induction:
“It was cool. It just would have been great if the rest of the Van Halen gang had come. Dave [Lee Roth] and I would have both participated and done a song each and all that. But you know, those guys are hard to get along with [Laughs]. I’m sorry, folks. I think everybody is starting to realize it now.”
During the same interview, he also said that he would campaign for Montrose to be inducted because he believes Montrose influenced bands like Van Halen, Mötley Crüe, and Def Leppard. But so far, it hasn’t happened.
