Sammy Hagar addresses fans’ concerns after recently sharing struggles on Instagram.
“Okay, so my last Instagram post got me a lot of pity,” the singer said in the video. “People thought that I was down and out.”
He added, “I was just mellow instead of being my ‘Woow’ the crazy self but I did get a really nice present. Someone from the Zager Guitars, Tim I think his name was. He sent me this guitar. It’s awesome. What a nice present. Thank you, Tim.”
In a new Instagram video, Sammy shared that he’s been having a hard time. It came after he disagreed with Alex Van Halen so some fans thought it was related to it.
“Hello everyone, I know you think my life is always perfect,” the Red Rocker noted. “I’ve had a tough couple of crazy days for a lot of different reasons but I just wanna say that sometimes the simplest things in life like this, a little glass of wine is all it takes to be happy. Hope you’re happy.”
Hagar mentioned he’s been going through a tough time but didn’t give a specific reason. In the comments, fans expressed concern for him and shared supportive messages.
“Sending you Aloha a Mana (love and energy) brother. Thank you for this,” a fan said. “People forget that even one of the most famous RocknRollers, and Good Humans have off days! Salute brother.”
Another one stated, “Have a great day my Brother, we all have those days and keep your head up!” One other person added, “Awwww cheers brother. You know we all love and support you man. People like you make this world worth living. Peace up brother.”
Alex recently said the other band members didn’t represent Van Halen well on Hagar’s Best of All Worlds Tour. Fans reacted strongly. Some criticized Alex for not being more involved and others praised Hagar’s contributions and talent.
Later, in an interview with The Guardian, Alex criticized Sammy, saying the band lost its spirit when David Lee Roth left. He ended his new book, ‘Brothers,’ in 1985, despite the band’s success with Hagar.
After Alex’s comments, Hagar posted an old interview with Alex on Instagram to show he wasn’t being honest. In the video, Alex praises Hagar’s singing and guitar skills.
