Ronnie Radke hit back at a hater who compared him to Nickelback on X.
“There is something beautiful in the fact that my album goes gold in 31 days after its release yet I am the most hated and sh*tted on person in this music scene, if your favorite band is so much better than me go give them a gold album and shut the absolute f*ck up about me then bitch.. here’s your L,” the Falling In Reverse singer initially wrote, referring to ‘Popular Monster.’
“Getting a gold album doesn’t make the music good. ‘All The Right Reasons’ by Nickelback went 7x Platinum. Touché Amore don’t need to have a gold album for me to want to listen to them,” a fan replied to Radke’s post.
“Riding my meat will not make your absolute terrible f*cking band better,” the frontman said in his response by sharing the previous tweets of the same user about him to promote his own band. “Your band F*CKING SUCKS.”
He continued, “Learn how to tune a guitar before you track it mix and master it, dude tracks out of tune guitars and doesn’t even realize it has the audacity to tweet me talking about my gold album sucking. Your band F*CKING SUCKS. Period.”
Besides his tweet, Radke also shared a sarcastic video where he made fun of the backlash he got for his posts about the LGBTQ+ community and the labels people called him, like ‘transphobic,’ ‘homophobic,’ and ‘racist.’
“My album went gold already,” he said in the video. “It came out last month, it’s already gold. How dare my album go gold? I’m transphobic. Congratulations to everybody that was involved with this. It’s bullsh*t. I’m so proud of this, and it makes me uncomfortable.”
The vocalist added, “All this hard work, all this dedication, and this decides to go gold in such a short amount of time. I’m a homophobe and racist. I can’t believe that this went gold. Thank you to everybody involved. The mixing, Tyler [Burgess], my whole band that plays this live. Everybody that helped, Cody [Quistad], everybody, I love you, guys.”
‘Popular Monster’ was released in August after three singles: ‘Ronald,’ ‘All My Life,’ and ‘Prequel.’ The album featured artists like Alex Terrible from Slaughter to Prevail and rapper Tech N9ne.
