Ronnie Radke asked Elon Musk to lift his shadow ban on X so that he can defend himself against transphobia accusations.
Radke previously commented on social media that children should be kept out of talks of gender identity. The remarks raised transphobia accusations against him, which only increased after Falling In Reverse’s ongoing tour with Black Veil Brides kicked off.
So, the singer recently wrote on X, “I’d like to thank you fans for their detective work. Elon Musk, can you lift the shadow ban on me so I can properly defend myself?”
‘Detective work’ referred to the background check he and his fans did on YouTuber Cera Gibson after a back-and-forth between the two.
Radke recently filed a defamation lawsuit against Anthony Fantano for bringing up his past sexual assault allegations in a new video titled ‘This Guy Sucks.’ Gibson later called the Falling In Reverse singer the softest motherfucker in metal for the reaction.
The vocalist responded by saying the YouTuber was harming actual assault victims’ experiences by discrediting his legal action against false accusations. He also shared screenshots of Gibson’s tweets about him and claimed that she was trying to get more views through them.
Meanwhile, the controversy seeped into Radke’s business deals. Some criticized Andy Biersack for collaborating with Falling In Reverse despite allegations against their vocalist.
“Ronnie Radke went out of his way to show kindness to us which is again something that is uncommon for us to experience on non-headlining runs historically,” Biersack wrote on X. “You needn’t come to a show if it’s not for you and that’s entirely at your discretion but to attempt to grandstand on moral grounds to me who is a member of a band once called ‘the most hated band in the universe’ as if anything I believe changes by virtue of us being afforded the opportunity to play our music for more people who seem to actually enjoy it and hopefully share our message and entertain them is an extremely myopic and in my opinion unfair position to take.”
Falling In Reverse and Black Veil Brides will be on stage in West Valley City, UT, on August 25.
