Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters doesn’t like to talk about his net worth.
During a recent interview with Piers Morgan, the rocker talked about activism and human rights. He mentioned how serious it was about human rights and he never joked about it even if it would cause backlash:
“When I take my stance for human rights I’m not mocking around. I’m serious about it and I don’t care what they throw at me. We know who I’m talking about and they are very powerful. [I’m talking about] the Israeli Lobby obviously. Actually, it’s not just the Israeli Lobby, it’s the war machine as well. It’s the war lobby.”
He also admitted to having paid a price for his current career:
“But yeah, have I paid a price? Yeah, a bit of one but I’ve been lucky. I’ve been very successful in my chosen career. So I’ve never wanted for a few quid. I don’t invest, I’m not a capitalist.”
Questioning About His Fortune
When Rogers mentioned money, he was asked how much he was worth. The rocker responded:
“That’s none of your business.”
When the reporter said it has been reported as $300 million, Waters repeated himself:
“It’s none of your business, Piers. Are you deaf? I can see you can read but you’re obviously a little bit deaf. It’s none of your business.”
When Morgan insisted on asking about his net worth and wealth, the rocker lost his cool and added:
“I’m not going to talk about my personal wealth it’s none of your business, and it doesn’t matter. What does matter is that I have stood up for human rights all my life.”
For those wondering, Waters’ net worth is estimated to be around $310 million.
