Lzzy Hale has been fronting Skid Row for some time now, and fans seem to love it. And so does Rachel Bolan.
The Skid Row bassist sat down with Talkin’ Rock with Meltdown and talked about their current touring singer. The rocker mentioned the first days Hale joined the band and recalled getting chills when he first heard her scream:
“When we took the stage, ‘Slave to the Grind’ she unleashed. Unleashed that first scream. I was just like, I’m getting chills thinking about it right now. I was we’re all just looking at each other like, whoa.”
He added that the singer was a beast on stage:
“You know, you just said something that is, descriptive that everyone has been saying, and that’s badass. Man, it’s so perfect because she is a badass. She’s a beast on stage, man. She’s great.”
Lzzy Wants To Continue With Skid Row
In late March, Skid Row revealed that Hale would step in for the upcoming four shows following Erik Grönwall’s exit. In another interview, she said she would love to continue touring with the band and that it’s not a burden for her at all:
“I love doing it. I am sure even from all of the small videos that people have been posting around. I have a blast. So it isn’t a burden for me. In the wake of all the studying I’ve been doing. I only do it for time. So I’m definitely willing to take a step at it whether that be a permanent fixture or not. We will see absolutely because schedules… That’s where we are keeping it with Rachel. If I can, I will.”
Hale also hinted at the chance of more shows with Skid Row a month before the interview. She said:
“You never know. I will say something that most likely will happen is that these will not be the only four dates you ever hear. I will say that. As far as me being the permanent member of Skid Row, we’re gonna all have to find a plateau in our schedules to do that. But you never know. Sounds like a pretty good gig for me, if I ever get to that point.”
Fans Want More With Hale
The next performance for Lzzy Hale and Skid Row is set for Nugget Casino Resort in Sparks, Nevada, on May 31. The tour will wrap up at Hard Rock Live Sacramento in Wheatland, California, on June 1. However, fans are already asking for more.
