Pharrell Williams looked to mythology for a new collaboration with Tiffany & Co. The Louis Vuitton men’s creative director found inspiration from Poseidon, the Greek mythological figure who can harness the power of the sea and rules its domain with a trident, of which its pointed design has been incorporated in pieces.
“I’m very inspired by the water, and the name of this collection, ‘Titan,’ draws inspiration from Poseidon, ruler of the sea, King of Atlantis — Atlantis, which is also the name of the community I grew up in Virginia Beach,” Williams said. “The detail in all of the jewelry pieces is very intentional, the use of black titanium…it’s a physical manifestation of beauty in blackness.”
The 19-piece “Titan” collection ranges from from $3,500-$53,000, available at The Landmark on New York’s Fifth Avenue and Tiffany.com. The Tiffany & Co. and Louis Vuitton brands are under parent LVMH.
