In a new Instagram post, Perry Farrell talked about how he felt after reuniting with Dave Navarro.
The singer shared a video from one of their latest performances and wrote in the caption:
“It’s impossible to try and put this feeling into words, it needs to be felt to be understood. I love my brothers – we have a few tickets left for the European tour. North American fans, we just launched a tour for you today. I miss you greatly. If you want to buy tickets ahead of the general on sale use the password REDEMPTION. I can’t wait to see you all soon.”
Jane’s Addiction performed live at London’s Bush Hall on May 23, with their original band members. It was their first show since March 2010. Navarro played with Jane’s Addiction for the first time in three years after recovering from long COVID. It was an intimate gig and the venue held only 400 people.
Fan Reactions To The Band
The rest of the band, including bassist Eric Avery, vocalist Perry Farrell, and drummer Stephen Perkins, had been performing with other guitarists while Navarro was sick. The guitarist had been ill since December last year and wasn’t sure when he could return.
The band had to cancel some shows because of his illness. During the Bush Hall show, they also played a new song called ‘Imminent Redemption’ and are working on a new album, expected to be released later this year. Fans generally reacted positively to the reunion. One fan wrote on Instagram:
“This show was even better than last time I saw them in 1990! Phenomenal return. Fantastic night.”
Another one said:
“What a blast, what a gig guys!! Dave was on fire you were all on fire guys!!”
After their small show in London, Jane’s Addiction announced a co-headline tour for 2024, along with Love and Rockets.
