Paul Stanley hasn’t released any solo material since 2006’s ’Live to Win’ but teased a possible new album in a recent interview on the ’Behind the Setlist’ podcast.
“We’ll see! We’ll see! I’m not done with music, that’s for sure,” the KISS singer noted. “I’ve become more judicious in what I do, picking and choosing, because as you get older, you see more and more that anything you do takes you away from something else, and at some point, it really comes down to picking and choosing what you do as it relates to what you don’t get to do.”
He added, “So, yeah, I’ll certainly do more music. Music is a big part of who I am.”
Paul Stanley last performed with KISS at Madison Square Garden in December 2023, when the band said goodbye to touring (at least physically) and recording. Gene Simmons later continued with solo shows while Stanley focused on his painting career instead.
Despite stepping back from the stage, the frontman occasionally hinted at new music on his social media. “I bought an AMAZING Aged Gibson J200 at The Gibson Garage in London last week,” he wrote on X in early August. “This guitar’s got me wanting to play and write! Let’s see what happens!!”
Stanley hasn’t announced a new record or show yet. He’s currently working with the rest of KISS as well as Pophouse and George Lucas’ Industrial Light & Magic to get back on stage in 2027 through virtual avatars.
