During a new episode of The Osbournes Podcast, Ozzy Osbourne revealed his dream band lineup.
When asked on the podcast by a viewer, Ozzy quickly named his choices. He picked two famous guitarists, a famous bassist, and one musician he had toured with before. Kelly Osbourne read the question, and the singer answered right away:
“I’d have John Lennon, Paul McCartney, me, Jimi Hendrix.”
Sharon Osbourne reminded Ozzy that he hadn’t named a drummer. After a moment of thought, he picked a drummer he had played with before:
“Tommy Clufetos.”
Ozzy’s Love For The Beatles
Osbourne has previously made it known that he loves the Beatles. In his Metal Hammer interview last year, Ozzy talked about what inspired him to become a musician. The song ‘She Loves You’ by the Beatles had a big impact on him. He explained:
“The song that made me decide what I want to do in my life was ‘She Loves You’ by The Beatles. I had this blue transistor radio – I remember it like it was yesterday – and I went, ‘F*ck… What is this?’ It was so profound! They just fired my imagination. I wanted to be a Beatle. I wanted Paul McCartney to marry my sister! My bedroom wall was covered in f*cking Beatles pictures.”
In another conversation, the rocker discussed the best concert he had ever attended. He named Paul McCartney, saying:
“I think Paul McCartney. He’s my idol, you know. I was once explaining to a reporter the way that I felt about McCartney and The Beatles and you know what? This kid says, ‘That’s the way I feel about you.’ I almost fell over. I was freaked out! I never think of myself like that. I try to be as normal as I can.”
During a separate chat, Osbourne shared that he listens to the Beatles every day. Hearing the Beatles records remind him of dressing up in Beatles clothes and wigs as a kid.
