One Piece Has Been a Huge Hit for Netflix
While fans were initially, and understandably, skeptical about the live-action adaptation of One Piece, the first season was a huge hit with both critics and audiences alike. “The first thing we can hint at is the absolutely perfect casting for the series,” declared MovieWeb’s Matthew Mahler regarding the series. “The young Iñaki Godoy Jasso is pretty perfect as Monkey D. Luffy, the main protagonist of the show. He captures the boundless curiosity, contagious joy, and relentless optimism of the character, but also imbues him with a fittingly competitive and naive streak.
While it has yet to be officially confirmed, One Piece star Brashaad Mayweather may have recently revealed that Season 3 is coming. During a recent discussion about his character, Patty, the actor said that both Season 2 and 3 are in fact being filmed back-to-back…
“We’ll see if they flash back to its because they’re filming two seasons – season two and three – back to back starting soon. So we’ll see what happens.”
