One of the best action thrillers from the 1990s, nay, one of the highest rated action thrillers of all time, is now available to stream for free. Just in case, you know, you’re trying to escape from any real-life drama that’s going on right now. Starring Hollywood icon Harrison Ford, the 1993 action outing The Fugitive finds the Star Wars and Indiana Jones (and soon to be MCU) star on the run from a dedicated U.S. Marshal after he’s framed for the murder of his wife and sentenced to death.
The Fugitive is nothing less than an action thriller classic, and stands at a hugely impressive 96% ‘fresh’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The movie is now available to stream for free on Tubi, so sit back and watch Ford deliver a powerhouse performance in this intense blockbuster, the kind of which they just don’t make anymore. Directed by Andrew Davis and based on a 1960s TV series, The Fugitive stars Ford as the tenacious Dr. Richard Kimble alongside Tommy Lee Jones as Sam Gerard, the U.S. Marshal who cares about nothing other than getting his man. You can check out the synopsis for The Fugitive below.
“Wrongfully accused of murdering his wife, Richard Kimble (Harrison Ford) escapes from the law in an attempt to find her killer and clear his name. Pursuing him is a team of U.S. marshals led by Deputy Samuel Gerard (Tommy Lee Jones), a determined detective who will not rest until Richard is captured. As Richard leads the team through a series of intricate chases, he discovers the secrets behind his wife’s death and struggles to expose the killer before it is too late.”
There Is a The Fugitive Sequel…and It Stars Wesley Snipes
You may not be aware of this, but while The Fugitive tells the standalone story of Harrison Ford’s Richard Kimble, Tommy Lee Jones’ unstoppable U.S. Marshal does return in a sequel. And this time, he’s chasing none other than Blade himself, Wesley Snipes. While not as well-received as its acclaimed, Oscar-winning (Jones won Best Supporting Actor) predecessor, the follow-up, U.S. Marshals, is still a fun ride, and can currently be streamed on Netflix in some places, or purchased on the likes of Amazon Prime Video in others.

Exclusive: Director Andrew Davis Discusses The Fugitive and Stony Island for Their Big Anniversaries
As the director’s films hit milestones this year, he discusses his creative origins, working with Harrison Ford, and filming a perfect trainwreck.
A Hollywood staple for decades, Harrison Ford will next join the modern era’s biggest franchise: the MCU. Ford will star as Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross in next February’s Captain America: Brave New World, and it has been confirmed that he will indeed “hulk out.” Ford takes over the role from the late, great William Hurt, with the character having now become President of the United States and transforming into the Red Hulk. And we thought the real White House was chaotic. The first footage of Red Hulk has now been revealed, and seeing Ford as a big, red, CGI beast is certainly a cinematic sight to behold.
Directed by Julius Onah and starring Anthony Mackie, Danny Ramirez, Shira Haas, Xosha Roquemore, Carl Lumbly, Giancarlo Esposito, Liv Tyler, Tim Blake Nelson, and Harrison Ford, Captain America: Brave New World is scheduled to be released in theaters on February 14, 2025, as part of Phase Five of the MCU.
