Ahead of Oasis’ much-anticipated reunion tour in 2025, images of Liam Gallagher’s physical altercations with paparazzi went viral, sparking an online push to cancel the band. Gallagher responded on x, showing no concern about the controversy.
The original post that featured the said images wrote, “Oh, apparently today’s fandom weirdness is that we’re pretending Liam’s never punched white paparazzi?”
In response, a fan pointed out that Liam treated all the paparazzi that invaded his privacy the same way regardless of their race, and the singer added, “I do not discriminate. [They’re] all c*nts.”
Another user mocked the attempts to cancel Oasis, calling them ‘hilarious’. Gallagher simply replied, “Good luck with that.”
The singer also made light of the situation, commenting, “Oooh, I’m scared,” in response to a tweet that read, “People trying to cancel you out of context is crazy.”
Oasis announced their return in August, just before the 30th anniversary of their debut album, ‘Definitely Maybe’. Initially, they planned 17 shows across five cities in the U.K. and Ireland, but high demand led to additional dates.
The reunion tour kicks off in Cardiff, Wales, on July 4, 2025, and wraps up on November 8, with shows in the U.S. and Australia as well. The official lineup hasn’t been confirmed, but reports suggest that bassist Andy Bell and guitarists Paul Arthurs and Gem Archer will join Liam and Noel Gallagher on stage.
