Noel Gallagher’s daughter Anais hit back at criticism over 2025 reunion tickets.
Oasis brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher announced they’ve ended their feud and will reunite for stadium shows in 2025. Due to high demand, extra dates were added before tickets went on sale, and fans rushed to get them. Some older fans missed out on tickets, and it led to a backlash on social media.
“One thing I won’t stand for is the ageism and the misogyny around people getting tickets,” Anais responded to the criticisms in a TikTok video. She added, “Sorry if a 19-year-old girl in a pink cowboy hat wants to be there, I will have my friendship bracelets ready.”
The video also included the comment, “What do you mean everyone suddenly loves them? Everyone has always loved them. They’re one of the most famous bands in the whole entire world.”
“Don’t try and gatekeep Oasis because you can’t gatekeep probably the most famous band to come out of the UK, if we’re disregarding The Beatles and stuff like that, but definitely the most famous Britpop band,” the comment also noted. “You can’t gatekeep them.”
Oasis recently warned on X that they will cancel tickets being sold for £6K for their reunion tour. “We have noticed people attempting to sell tickets on the secondary market since the start of the pre-sale,” the band said in their post. “Please note, tickets can ONLY be resold, at face value, via Ticketmaster and Twickets. Tickets sold in breach of the terms and conditions will be canceled by the promoters.”
“This is what ‘we’ the fans want to hear,” one person commented on the band’s post. “Bravo for speaking out so soon.” “Empty threat. If they couldn’t do it for Taylor Swift they won’t do it now,” another one said.
General ticket sales started in Ireland at 08:00 BST and in the UK at 09:00. Before the pre-sale, standing tickets were expected to be about £150. Standard seats will range from £73 to £205, and premium packages can cost up to £506. Around 1.4 million tickets are available for 17 outdoor concerts in the UK and Ireland next July and August.
