Noah Gallagher is up to do a holographic Oasis show.
Gallagher shared on Matt Morgan’s podcast that he was blown away by the ABBA show he saw. The show had the digital holograms of ABBA, supported by a live 10-piece band playing along with vocals from the ’70s and ’80s. He shared his experience:
“I went to see that Abba show. Have you been? It’s f*cking unbelievable. It was great – an hour and a half gig. It was very, very impressive. I genuinely thought at one point that the people on the stage, which were holograms, were… they looked that real that I thought they were actors, like playing. The way they walk to the stage is so realistic. If you ever get the chance to go, it’s well worth it.”
He mentioned he would even think about doing something similar for concerts based on his former band’s performances from the 1990s:
“I was very impressed by it to be honest but yeah, if anybody wants to do an Oasis one, give us a shout. I would be bang up for it. I’d say ‘great’, speak to that guy over there and then come up with a figure and then he’ll relay it to me and I’ll say either yes or no.”
Noel Would Perform With A Liam Hologram
Noel Gallagher earlier said he would be cool performing with a hologram of his brother Liam Gallagher and joked that his estranged brother was ‘not actually real.’
This came up in an interview where they revisited comments Noel made in 2016 about Oasis breaking up. Back then, he joked he would ‘pay to see’ the other band members perform without him. He had also mentioned they would even start rumors about him performing without Liam and use a hologram instead.
In a separate interview with BBC radio, when asked if he would really consider performing with a hologram of Liam, Noel replied:
“I did say that once, right, in the press, that I was gonna stage the concert with holograms, and I think Liam took it seriously. Liam is a hologram anyway. I don’t know if people know that, he’s not actually real. But yeah, of course I’d do it. If anything ever changes, trust me, he would be the first to let people know about it.”
If that happens anytime soon, it will be the closest thing to an Oasis reunion.
