Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx recently shared updates about both their possible tour with Guns N’ Roses and Sixx: A.M.
Sixx was asked by a user on X about the possibility of a tour with Guns N’ Roses. The same user also said that they had heard about Crüe saying a tour with GNR ‘would be great.’ He responded:
“No plans at this point. Hopefully in 2025.”
Another user asked him what his former Sixx: A.M. bandmates were doing. He responded shortly with:
“They are making music.”
A Tour With Guns N’ Roses Was On The Table
Guns N’ Roses and Motley Crue once toured together. Motley Crue had been around a few years before Guns N’ Roses. So, when Guns hit the road to promote their 1987 debut ‘Appetite for Destruction,’ Motley Crue was one of the bands they opened for.
But things got rocky between them afterward. Izzy Stradlin’s beef with Vince Neil caused some drama and it even sparked a feud between Vince and Axl Rose.
Fast forward over three decades, Slash and Duff McKagan rejoined Guns N’ Roses in 2016, and Motley Crue came out of retirement for a tour with Def Leppard in 2022. And a joint tour almost worked out, but things didn’t go exactly as planned. Sixx explained earlier in another tweet:
“We tried. It just didn’t work out for now. Would be a great tour. You never know.”
We might hear about the GNR tour soon again.
