Nikki Sixx called Oasis a ‘boy band’ while talking about their reunion.
In a recent Q&A session with fans on X, someone asked the bassist, “Did you get Oasis tickets?” “Never really been into boy bands,” Sixx replied to the comment.
In late August, Oasis announced that they had made peace and would get back together. “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over,” the band said in a statement.
“It’s with some sadness and a great relief to tell you that I quit Oasis tonight. People would write and say what they liked, but I could not continue working with Liam for a day longer,” Noel Gallagher also said on the band’s website.
British regulators are looking into Ticketmaster for how it sold Oasis tickets for their reunion tour. They are checking into the use of ‘dynamic pricing,’ which raises ticket prices based on demand.
Last weekend, fans waited for hours to buy tickets for the tour next summer, only to find prices had gone up while they were in line because of this pricing system.
The CMA said it would investigate if Ticketmaster broke consumer protection laws. They will check if Ticketmaster clearly told buyers about dynamic pricing and its effects. They will also see if people were pressured into buying tickets at higher prices quickly.
Liam Gallagher recently talked about the ticket price controversy. “OASIS are back your welcome and I hear there ATTITUDE STINKS good to know something’s never change LF*CKING x,” he tweeted about the reunion.
One person said in their comment, “Didn’t expect them to rip the fans off as much as they have done. It’s genuinely a shame.” Liam responded by saying, “SHUTUP.”
Another fan also noted, “Everyone saying you both are doing it for the money are out of their minds it’s for the music, the fans, and each other.” “There’s lots of reasons for doing it family fans music biblical vibrations and curly wurlys as that’s what I’m getting paid in so all those money rumours are just not true,” the rocker said in his reply.
The Gallagher brothers added two more London shows on September 27 and 28, 2025. They will use a new ticket process for those who missed out last Saturday.
