Nicole Ari Parker is celebrating moms and mother figures in an extra-special way this Mother’s Day.
The actress, entrepreneur and mom, 53, has co-designed a bracelet with jewelry brand Adina Eden — and the inspiration is sweet, to say the least.
The limited-edition bracelet’s design was influenced by none other than beauty brand Jergens Skincare’s iconic Cherry Almond scent.
Parker says collaborating on the Jergens x Adina Eden bracelet was a “no brainer.”
“When I got the call, I said yes right away. [The opportunity] to celebrate moms and all the mother figures in our lives was a no-brainer. And Jergens is such an iconic brand with an iconic scent that it brought up all these good memories, so when they asked me to design a bracelet with Adina Eden, I jumped at the chance.”
Parker says that her first memory of Jergens Skincare is associated with very special moments in her childhood.
“[I remember] my grandmother rubbing it on my elbows and knees, my mom getting me ready for church. It just was just associated with feeling good and being loved,” she says.
To this day, she’s obsessed with the scent, which in 2023, after years of being available as a body moisturizer, was introduced as a perfume.
“I love perfume,” Parker gushes. “I spend my whole check on it.”
She calls this one “instant happiness.”
Parker mists this one in the air and lets it land on her hair and clothing, but notes it’s the kind of aroma that can uplift your surroundings, too.
For this collab, which was designed with the scent in mind, Parker says she played a minor role.
“I had a small voice in it. The cherries charm was part of the original design, and because being a mom has been my starring role, I added a star to the bracelet,” she shares.
“I have a great father, but my mom taught me how to be a mom, and so she will always be the star of my life,” Parker adds. “So, I just really wanted to celebrate moms and how we’re such an integral part of our children’s lives.”

Jergens Skincare is also celebrating Mother’s Day with a new Mom-Sense campaign, which aims to celebrate a mother’s intuition and the deep connection moms have with their children.
Parker (who shares daughter Sophie, 19, and son Nicholas, 17, with husband of nearly 19 years Boris Kodjoe) talks about what the term means to her.
“I think that moms in all figures, we just get a download of something intuitive about what a child needs and when they need it,” Parker explains.
“Even if we’re not perfect, and even if we do things wrong, there’s something about a woman’s wisdom that I think just kicks in when we have to care for someone.”
While Parker might not get to spend this Mother’s Day with both of her children (daughter Sophie is off at college), she says the “greatest gift” is the journey she’s been on with them.
“It was very difficult at certain times, like any mom will tell you, in terms of time management, self-care, doing the right thing, saying it in the right way, but, I just really love being a mom.”
But one thing’s for sure: she’ll get in some self-care.
“Because I’m not chasing little ones around, I can really focus on myself. I have a lot of self-care time now. Boris and I work out together. It’s a whole new renaissance really of finding myself again outside of changing diapers. And it’s been wonderful.”
