Mötley Crüe has been hinting at new music for months. Now, the band announced that they will be releasing an EP soon.
The EP is titled ‘Cancelled,’ and it will include three new tracks — ‘Dogs Of War,’ the title track, and a cover of Beastie Boys’ ‘(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party!)’
Just like ‘Dogs Of War,’ Mötley Crüe’s version of ‘(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party!)’ was recorded in April 2023 with their longtime producer Bob Rock.
“It was really great getting in the studio and working on some tracks together,” Mötley Crüe said in a statement. “What started out as a couple demo ideas turned into this EP produced by Bob Rock. We look forward to getting back into the studio again soon and writing more new music, as well.”
The band first played their cover of ‘(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party!)’ at a secret show on June 30, 2023, for 450 fans at the Underworld in London.
Mötley Crüe’s last studio album was 2008’s ‘Saints Of Los Angeles,’ and they followed it up with a ‘Greatest Hits’ compilation in 2009.
The EP is scheduled to be released on October 4.
