Mötley Crüe made a surprising entrance at the Troubadour on October 8 for the first show of their Hollywood Takeover.
The band shared a video on social media, showing a trash truck arriving at the Troubadour and dumping trash on the street only for the band members to jump out. They captioned the clip, “Mötley Crüe gets dumped back out in a trash truck on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood for night 1 of the HÖLLYWOOD TAKEÖVER!”
They also reminded fans about a charity auction featuring stage-played instruments from the show, each personally signed by the band. Proceeds will benefit Covenant House International.
Although the Höllywood Takeöver was meant to be a return to basics, Mötley Crüe still played their usual set of greatest hits at the Troubadour. The 16-song lineup featured classics like ‘Primal Scream,’ ‘Shout at the Devil,’ and ‘Kickstart My Heart,’ alongside newer tracks like ‘Dogs of War’ and a cover of the Beastie Boys’ ‘Fight for Your Right.’
The Höllywood Takeöver continues on October 9th, at The Roxy Theatre, with the final concert at the Whisky A Go Go on Friday, October 11th.
