Mötley Crüe recently revealed their first song, ‘Dogs of War,’ since Mick Mars left.
The band posted a picture on social media. It shows them as zombie-like characters in a destroyed world. Nikki Sixx also shared the same post on his official account with the caption:
“Mötley Crüe return marking the start of a brand new chapter with our new song ‘Dogs of War.’ Available now for pre-order! Hitting all platforms 4/26. Big Machine Records signs the world’s notorious band. Link in bio.”
Crüe’s new track will arrive on Friday, April 26. The photo has a yellowish tint and has the band’s name and the new song title at the bottom. Sixx also shared his thoughts on the track with a post on X. He wrote:
“‘Dogs Of War’ sounded great at rehearsal today.”
The Band Has A New Record Label
Mötley Crüe also announced that they signed a deal with Big Machine Records. Nikki reposted the record label’s post on Instagram which had their group photo and the new song’s poster, along with the caption:
“The iconic moment has arrived: Big Machine Records proudly declares the triumphant return of ‘The World’s Most Notorious Rock Band,’ Mötley Crüe! This marks the dawn of an electrifying new era for the legendary Crüe! You can pre-save their new song, ‘Dogs of War,’ NOW! Available 4/26. They Had Already Mentioned New Music
‘Dogs of War’ isn’t the first one John 5 has helped write. He co-wrote three songs for ‘The Dirt’ movie soundtrack back in 2019. The guitarist joined the band in October 2022 after Mars announced that he would retire from touring due to ongoing health issues.
Sixx previously hinted at new music from the band, writing on Instagram:
“Leaving for Europe in May with the band, but some super exciting stuff coming up before, and also going to be working on some more riffs and ideas with Tommy Lee and John 5 this week as well. Photo by my girlfriend, Ross Halfin.”
This spring and summer, Mötley Crüe will play at Welcome To Rockville, Festival D’été De Québec, Louder Than Life, and Aftershock. Their next show is on May 3 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. According to the bassist, short tours like this year’s schedule are better on being on the way all year.
