Mick Mars -probably- showed off his reaction to Mötley Crüe’s new song, ‘Dogs of War’ on X.
The guitarist liked the photo of a zombie-looking bass guitarist from his official account. He’s probably referring Crue bassist Nikki Sixx.
In the new Mötley Crüe music video for ‘Dogs of War,’ band members appear as zombie versions of themselves. Mars made this move after the new song and the video arrived.
Mötley Crüe announced their first track after the departure of Mick Mars a few days ago on their social media with the following message:
“Mötley Crüe return marking the start of a brand new chapter with our new song ‘Dogs of War.’ Available now for pre-order! Hitting all platforms 4/26. Big Machine Records signs the world’s notorious band. Link in bio.”
Nikki Sixx also wrote about the song on his X account:
“‘Dogs of War’ sounded great at rehearsal today.”
Another New Development For The Group
Besides the new song, the band now has a new record label, too. They revealed that they signed with Big Machine Records. Here is the record label’s message:
“The iconic moment has arrived: Big Machine Records proudly declares the triumphant return of ‘The World’s Most Notorious Rock Band,’ Mötley Crüe! This marks the dawn of an electrifying new era for the legendary Crüe! You can pre-save their new song, ‘Dogs of War,’ NOW! Available 4/26. This track signals the thrilling comeback of the iconic group, marking their first new release since 2019. Pre-save at the link in bio!”
The Band’s New Song Is A Collaborative Effort
‘Dogs of War’ arrived on April 26 on different platforms. Sixx writes most of the band’s songs, but this time he didn’t get full credit. When the fan asked who wrote the new song on X, the bassist replied:
“We did.”
Mick Mars also released a new album after his Mötley Crüe exit. The musician’s debut solo record, ‘The Other Side of Mars,’ came out on February 23, 2024. The album entered the iTunes Charts at number one. Mick later said that he is glad to be out of Mötley Crüe because he is now free to experiment with other things.
