James Hetfield is hosting a private dinner for a fan and their three friends (at most) to benefit the Adaptive Sports Foundation. As of now, the highest offer for the experience stands at $28,500.
The dinner will take place in Edwards, Colorado, near Vail, according to the auction details. An athlete and a staff member from the Foundation will accompany the guests and Hetfield at the table.
The bids will close on August 21. The dinner date will be arranged based on the Metallica singer, the charity, and the auction winner’s schedules. The winner will also need to cover the meal costs for everyone and take care of travel/accommodations.
The auction rules require participants to be at least 21 years old. The guest is allowed to take a photograph with Hetfield and have him sign a small item during the night.
Meanwhile, Metallica’s M72 World Tour continues in North America. The band just performed at the US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota, last night (August 16).
The trek supporting 2023’s ‘72 Seasons’ kicked off in Amsterdam shortly after the album’s release in April that year. It will wrap up in Mexico City, Mexico, on September 29.
