Marilyn Manson dropped another new song, ‘Raise the Red Flag,’ and like his previous video, he turned off the comments.
The track arrived while Manson is on tour with Five Finger Death Punch. It’s his first big tour since 2019. This comes as he faces several ongoing sexual assault and abuse lawsuits.
In the ‘Raise the Red Flag’ video, Manson’s band appears for the first time after performing live on August 2. The band includes guitarist Reba Meyers, bassist Piggy D, drummer Gil Sharone, and guitarist Tyler Bates.
Manson released the other new song, ‘As Sick As The Secrets Within’ earlier in the month. Manson performed the track live for the first time on August 3 at The Fillmore in Silver Spring, Maryland. Fans generally liked the song. “His voice, the lyrics. He sounds so good!! He’s sober, healthy, and better than ever! I can’t wait to see him next month,” one person wrote.
Another added, “He honestly has not sounded this good since the early 2000’s in my opinion. This is exactly the sort of songs that made me obsessed with his music to begin with, and I am taken aback by how emotional this made me. Fearing the glory days were over for my favorite artist of all time, an artist that opened my eyes to a whole new world of music, art, and literature, and in some ways helped shape the person I am today, was really affecting me more than I realized until I heard this track and felt this huge feeling of relief over hearing such a solid track from the man himself.”
“Music doesn’t make me feel much these days. But hearing Manson sounding clean, healthy, and 20+ years younger has filled my heart with such emotional joy. Welcome back, Brian. The glory days are back! Congratulations,” one other commenter said.
‘As Sick As The Secrets Within’ is Manson’s first song with his new label, Nuclear Blast Records. This news came in May, shortly after rumors that he had finished a new album. Before this, Manson hadn’t released new music since his 2020 album ‘We Are Chaos.’ His tour with Five Finger Death Punch will end on September 19 in Houston, Texas.
